EARLY GIVING FOR BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES FUNDRAISER BEGINS THURSDAY

While the 2nd Annual Brazos Valley Gives officially begins October 27th, the public can start contributing tomorrow (Thursday).

Early giving for the fundraiser supporting regional nonprofit organizations begins tomorrow, ahead of the official start of the 18-hour online fundraiser October 27th.  Early giving concludes on October 23rd.

Brazos Valley Gives Co-Chair Molly Watson says in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, local nonprofits need a great deal of help from the public.

Brazos Valley Gives is powered by the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley.  Presenting sponsor of the fundraiser this year is Stylecraft.

Last year, over 100 nonprofits participated in the inaugural event, and all of them received a financial benefit from the $363,686 that was raised.  This year’s fundraising goal is $375,000.  All donations will pass through directly to the donor’s charity or charities of choice.

KTEX-106 and KWHI are joining Bryan Broadcasting, Insite, KBTX, The Eagle, Brenham Banner Press, Lamar Advertising, David Gardner’s Jewelers and the Bryan/College Station and Washington County Chambers of Commerce in partnering with Brazos Valley Gives to help spread awareness about the online fundraiser.

Prospective donors can visit www.brazosvalleygives.org to see a list of nonprofit participants, or email brazosvalleygives@gmail.com for more information.  Local citizens and businesses interested in sponsoring an incentive prize for the fundraiser or providing matching funds can call Patricia Gerling at 979-589-4305.
