GRIMES CO. JOINS LAWSUIT ATTEMPTING TO STOP ‘BULLET’ TRAIN
Grimes County Commissioners have approved joining a lawsuit to try to stop the proposed bullet train.
Commissioners have voted unanimously to be a plaintiff with other groups like landowners and Texans Against the High Speed Rail.
Earlier, the commissioners approved a proclamation expressing their opposition to the project which would include a stop in Grimes County.
County Judge Joe Fauth said the move assists them in the legal fight and that they have nothing to lose by being a party.
Texas Central has said they are continuing to move forward with the project to connect travelers from Houston to Dallas in 90 minutes.
