OVER $633,000 RAISED IN 2ND ANNUAL BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES
OVER $100,000 DONATED TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT WASHINGTON CO.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised for nonprofits across the Brazos Valley in the 2nd Annual Brazos Valley Gives.

Final numbers are still being calculated, but preliminary totals show the fundraising event raised $633,616 for 136 regional nonprofit organizations.
The total, which shattered the fundraising goal of $375,000, was raised through approximately 3,574 donations. Last year’s inaugural event featured 103 nonprofits and raised $363,686.
This year’s fundraiser earned $154,000 in pre-giving leading up to the final day of giving on Tuesday, compared to $23,000 pre-giving raised in 2019.
Twenty nonprofits from Brenham and Washington County participated in the fundraiser. According to Washington County Chamber of Commerce President Wende Ragonis, $106,498 was donated to organizations that support Washington County.
Donations for local organizations include:

- Hope Gathering, Inc. - $7,315
- Blinn College Foundation - $ 6,634
- Brenham ISD Education Foundation - $5,526
- Washington on the Brazos Historical Foundation - $4,142
- Unity Theatre - $3,329
- Brenham Pet Adoption Center - $3,257
- First Baptist Church School in Brenham - $3,106
- CASA for Kids South Central Texas $3,104
- Miracle Farm - $2,908
- Boys & Girls Club of Washington County - $2,863
- Burton Education Foundation - $2,249
- Brenham Children’s Chorus - $1,635
- Brenham Heritage Museum $1,420
- Faith Mission and Help Center, Inc. - $1,097
- Camp for All - $1,019
- New Beginnings Life Ministries - $809
- Here I Am Orphan Ministries - $262
- Washington County Healthy Living Association - $235
- Adult and Teen Challenge of Texas-BVMC - $210

- Hope Mommies Brenham/College Station Chapter - $2,313
- National Alliance on Mental Illness Brazos Valley - $1,416
- Baylor Scott and White Central Texas Foundation - $36
All of the 136 participating nonprofits received a donation in the fundraiser, which was powered by the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley. Presenting sponsors were Stylecraft and Tom Light Chevrolet in Bryan/College Station.
