BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO HEAR UPDATE FROM COVID-19 RESPONSE TEAM
The Brenham School Board will hear an update on Brenham ISD’s COVID-19 procedures at a special meeting Monday.
Trustees will hear from the district’s COVID-19 Response Team, who will provide an update on the positive cases within the district and the measures being taken to slow the spread of the virus in Brenham ISD schools.
According to Brenham ISD’s COVID-19 dashboard, as of this (Saturday) morning, there are four active COVID-19 cases in the district, two in students and two in staff members. A total of 11 cases have been reported.
In a COVID-19 update published Friday, Brenham ISD officials say they will continue to maintain the COVID-19 procedures that are currently in place and that are still recommended by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These include the continued wearing of face coverings, social distancing, and cleaning procedures.
Also at Monday’s meeting, the board will hear a strategic planning update. It will then go into executive session to discuss personnel matters.
The board will meet Monday at noon in the Brenham ISD Administration Office. The meeting will be livestreamed on Brenham ISD’s YouTube channel.
