NEW HOMES, REMODELING AT GERMANIA INSURANCE TOP OCTOBER BUILDING PERMITS

  

For the second month in a row, new homes led the month of October for building permits issued by the City of Brenham.

Eleven new homes were permitted in October for $1,536,020.  The largest home permit was issued to Evergreen Builders LTD for $262,000, for a new home in the 1700 block of Timber Oaks Drive.

So far this year, 72 homes have been permitted for $9,792,291.

The largest individual permit of the month was issued to Germania Insurance at 507 Highway 290 East.  The $483,053 permit was issued for the interior remodeling of the insurance agency’s credit union area.  The work is contracted to Chappell Hill Construction.

The city issued 33 permits in October worth $2,735,091.  Last October, 24 permits were issued for $1,473,719.

So far this year, 253 permits have been issued for $77,772,058.  Through this point last year, the city issued 240 permits for $36,487,764.
