STATE NOW OVER 7,000 COVID-19 HOSPITALIZATIONS
Texas has surpassed 7,000 hospitalized coronavirus patients for the first time since early August, just days after becoming America’s first state to surpass one million confirmed cases.
The Texas Department of State Health Services said that there were 7,083 people hospitalized in the state with COVID-19 as cases continue to rise.
Governor Greg Abbott hasn’t indicated whether he will revert to tougher restrictions on businesses, instead emphasizing in recent days that new therapeutics and vaccines are expected to become available soon.

As a neighbor… the people usually congregating outside Manuel’s Restaurant are families, athletic groups, students, or others who have FINISHED their meal inside. I assume it is their choice and option to visit with or without masks before their departures. Manuel’s customers routinely ENTER with masks.
Thanks for policing our neighborhood.
Driving by Manuels Mexican Sat. around 2 p.m. a overflow of diners outside….parking lot & street packed w/cars & NO VISIBUL MASK on no one outside & coming out of the diner. Yes I circled the block & re-observed. Management t
lonly concerned about the $$$….I guess….. Other restaurants we have patroned like Joe’s they are abiding. The owners at Manuels need to enforce. Not good when the place is packed & overflow. Obvious we won’t get this under some control while its happening. Get onboard everyone. I’ve decided these kind of folks either never read/listen to important news on KWHI & I guess their thinking is…it won’t happen to me. WRONG….I’ve lost 3 friends from St.Marys & many from the nursing home affected & 3 from St.Marys age ranged from 30 –78….yes can happen &2 of those no underlying medical issues. I want to live on…return to all the good things in life…celebrate events around the Dining table ,,,shake hands & give hugs….but if the NO MASK continue we’re in for trouble. Again read Dr.Loeschs updates….WEAR THE Mask.
“Live by the Rules”
Why don’t you stay home and worry about yourself instead of driving around seeing who is doing what and who isn’t! It’s their choice to accept the consequences if they do or don’t wear a mask so if along with other noisy folks don’t have anything better to do I suggest you get some puzzles, books, board games and put your mask on at your choice but for the past 9 plus months your words don’t matter to some so find something else to occupy your time with instead of complaining about what you obviously can’t do anything about! Too many people worried about others is the biggest problem in this world so keep your nose out of what you can’t control! The truth hurts but it’s time to accept it and move on!!! Thanks
Ohh, they ( Manuels ) have good lunch buffets and also try Las Fuentas. It’s pretty good!
You wear your mask and mind your own business…… Do Not worry what others are doing. The world keeps spinning, virus or not. To each their own how they deal with it, where they choose to eat, where they choose to gather, and what they wear on their face.
I suggest if you are not comfortable going into a business maybe you should simply not go. Forcing your opinion on others is wrong.
Maybe you should not go to that restaurant then.
Vote with your dollars.
What you claimed to have seen is from your perspective, your opinion.
Have you been tasked with checking on all businesses to see if they are “safe” enough for the general public???
It is none of your business how someone else runs theirs.
Mind your own, you will be happier for it.
You might want to stay home, stay safe, until you can get a vaccine.
Leave people alone.
Shutting down does not work, nothing does, just do what you’re asked, protect yourself the best you can and hopefully you will be ok. As we found out, if it’s going to happen no matter what you do, it will walk through your door.
People have to live and no matter what the government does we are still surrounded by “stupid people “. Shutting down only hurts the business owners and employees.
