EMERGENCY WORKERS RESPOND TO TRIO OF MONDAY ACCIDENTS

Local emergency personnel were kept busy, Monday, responding to a trio of accidents.

Just after 9:30 a.m., authorities were called out the intersection of Egypt Lane and Brown College Road, in the northeastern part of Washington County.

A vehicle had run through a fence and the driver was trapped in the vehicle by barbed wire.  The Brenham Fire Department cleared the wire out of the way so EMS could reach the patient.

Then, two vehicles collided at the 2300 block of South Day Street, near the intersection of Medical Parkway.

One of the vehicles was leaking fluid, which was cleared up by Brenham fire fighters.

And, just after 2:00 p.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of FM 389 and Betty Lane, south of US 290.

One person was injured in the crash that resulted in major damage to one vehicle with the air bags deployed.

The injured person was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Brenham.
