25TH ANNUAL FOOD FOR FAMILIES FOOD DRIVE WEDNESDAY

The 25th Annual Food for Families Food Drive, put on by the Brazos Valley Food Bank and KBTX, gets underway tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at several locations across the Brazos Valley.

Non-perishable food items, grocery products and monetary donations will be accepted throughout the all-day drive, which goes to help the mobile pantry operated by the Brazos Valley Food Bank through a network of nonprofit organizations.

Donations will be taken from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Brazos Center in Bryan, and from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Son-Shine Outreach Center in Madisonville, Pridgeon Community Center in Franklin, Hearne Railroad Depot in Hearne, St. Mary’s Catholic Church Hall in Caldwell, and Mid-South Synergy in Navasota.  Donations will stay in the county they are donated in.

Due to social distancing guidelines, donations will be taken via curbside drop-off; participants are asked to stay in their vehicle as their donations are unloaded.  Outside volunteers will not be accepted this year.

KTEX-106’s Blake Hickerson will be at the Brazos Center and Mid-South Synergy tomorrow morning, broadcasting live from the KTEX Country Cruiser.
