LONGTIME WASHINGTON CO. VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER JERRY MCNALLY DIES

  

A longtime volunteer firefighter in Washington County has died.

Jerry McAnally died December 22nd in College Station at the age of 78.

McAnally served in the fire service for over 40 years in Washington County, including ten years as Assistant Fire Chief of the Berlin-Mill Creek-Zionsville Volunteer Fire Department.

McAnally served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1969, and was a Vietnam War veteran.  He was a facilities mechanic in several industries throughout his career, and was also a member of VFW Post 7104 and American Legion Post 48.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel today (Tuesday) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and tomorrow (Wednesday) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with burial following at the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Berlin-Mill Creek-Zionsville Volunteer Fire Department.
