The Brenham State Supported Living Center (BSSLC) has begun vaccinating staff members after receiving its first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines Wednesday.
The vaccines, manufactured by Moderna, will be offered to staff who want to get vaccinated, increasing their ability to protect the health and safety of residents in their care while they continue responding to the pandemic.
There are approximately 778 staff members who work on the BSSLC campus.
The facility was designated to receive 300 vaccine doses as part of week three of the state’s vaccine allocation efforts.
