“BUTCH” FASKE HONORED FOR YEARS OF SERVICE AS WASHINGTON CO. CONSTABLE

  

The late Carroll “Butch” Faske was honored today (Friday) for the over three decades of service he gave as Precinct Two Washington County Constable.

At a ceremony this morning at the Washington County Courthouse, the family of Faske was presented a plaque by Washington County Judge John Durrenberger, while the combined constables’ offices gave them a flag and Faske’s duty-issued firearm.

Faske died in May after serving 31 years in the position.

Durrenberger said he only knew Faske a short time, but in the time the two were able to work together, he said Faske was “a treasure trove of knowledge” and was “very, very helpful and such a gentleman about it.”

Durrenberger, along with Commissioner Kirk Hanath, thanked Faske’s family for allowing him to serve the community as a public servant for so many years.

Commissioner Joy Fuchs said Faske “brought in a new way of being a constable in Washington County.”

Commissioners Don Koester and Candice Bullock were not present at the ceremony.

George “Trey” Holleway III was sworn in today to fill Faske’s constable post after being unopposed in November’s general election.
