SEVERAL BRENHAM, BURTON SCHOOL TRUSTEES UP FOR ELECTION IN MAY

  

Several positions on the Brenham and Burton School Boards will be on the ballot come election time in May.

For Brenham ISD, the positions of trustee and current Board President Natalie Lange, trustee and Board Vice President Melvin Ehlert, and trustee Tommie Sullivan will be up for election.

Meanwhile, for Burton ISD, the trustee positions up for election are the ones held by Tracey Cox and David Warner, Sr.  Cox resigned in November after announcing in October that she would be moving out of the district.

The first day to apply for a place on the ballot or a declaration of write-in candidacy is Wednesday.  The last day to apply is Friday, February 12^th, while the last day to declare write-in candidacy is Tuesday, February 16^th.

The last day to register to vote for May’s election is Thursday, April 1^st, while the last day to submit an application for a ballot by mail is Friday, April 16^th.

Early voting for both elections will begin Monday, April 19^th and will conclude on Tuesday, April 27^th.  Early voting for the Brenham ISD election will be held at the Washington County Courthouse Annex, while Burton ISD’s early voting will take place at the Burton ISD Administration Office.  Election Day is Saturday, May 1^st.
