BRENHAM DESIGNATED A “TEXAS MUSIC FRIENDLY CITY”

Jennifer Eckermann

The City of Brenham is officially a “Texas Music Friendly City” after a virtual meeting Tuesday evening at the Barnhill Center.  Brenham Director of Tourism & Marketing Jennifer Eckermann explained that Brenham has always been a Music Friendly location, but the new designation by Texas Music Office will bring more visitors to Brenham. By joining the program, Brenham will be included in a list of 21 other Texas Music Friendly cities like Austin, Bastrop, Conroe, Fort Worth, Lubbock, San Antonio, Stephenville, and Waco.

Visit Brenham/Washington County is the liaison between the city and the Texas Music Office.  Tourism and Visitor Experience Manager Jennifer Phillips will be responsible for required reporting and working with the Texas Music Friendly Committee, which will consist of her, Brad Stufflebeam, Rob Moorman, Cameron Crawford, Mark Rosenbaum, Vicky Wehmeyer and Elaine Dillard.  A video of the official designation and congratulations was produced by James Pharaon and presented to those who gathered at the Barnhill Center.
