BROOKSHIRE BROTHERS PUTS HOLD ON TAKING NEW NAMES FOR COVID-19 VACCINE WAITING LIST

Brookshire Brothers is currently not taking any more names on its COVID-19 vaccine waiting lists.

Due to limited vaccine availability, the grocery store chain on Monday temporarily suspended its waiting lists in Texas and Louisiana.

According to the Brookshire Brothers website, after looking at Texas’ plan to provide large immunization hubs with the majority of the state’s vaccine supplies, the company expects it will take some time before its pharmacy locations receive additional allocations.

The company says those who have already signed up remain on the waiting list, and it will begin scheduling appointments once it receives additional supplies.

According to the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), the Brookshire Brothers pharmacy in Brenham has received a total of 700 vaccines as of today (Wednesday).
