BURTON CANCELS REMAINING GIRLS’ BASKETBALL SEASON — BOYS GAMES CALLED OFF UNTIL FEB. 8
Burton High School has announced the cancellation of the remainder of the girls’ basketball season.
The three remaining games have all been cancelled due to COVID-19.
According to Burton ISD officials, “After consultation among administration and local health officials, and in accordance with health and safety protools of the Centers for Disease Control, the Burton ISD has cancelled the varsity girls last three district games.”
“Burton ISD steadfastly prioritizes the health and safety of its student-athletes as well as the entire Panther community.”
The Burton boys’ basketball season has also been post-poned until Monday, February 8th, due to COVID-19.
