subHUB OPENS ONLINE REGISTRATION SUNDAY EVENING

From the subHUB Sunday evening:

The state allocated 4,000 vaccines to the subHUB this week and agents have been making calls to those on the registration list to schedule vaccine appointments for Tuesday, February 2, 2021. To date, approximately 4,500 Texans have received a vaccine from the subHUB.

As of Sunday evening, January 31, 2021, all those on the current registration list have been contacted or three attempts have been made. Officials state that every effort has been made through local media, social media, various websites, and several automated messages via text and phone call to let people know to anticipate the call.

Online pre-registration is now available at www.localevent.info and will automatically close when 5,000 people have pre-registered. Once pre-registered, you will be contacted by an agent, in the order the form was received, to set up a vaccine time slot. The Google hosted form allows you to enter your information. If there is a large number of people attempting to fill out the Google form at the same time, be aware it may take time and/or the page may need to be refreshed. Pre-registration will reopen when all those on the list have been vaccinated. This cycle will continue as long as the state continues to allocate vaccines to the subHUB.

  1. The online registration is a tremendous help. I registered three people on Monday that do not have computers and they all got called on Monday and got their shots on Tuesday. I reminded them to answer all phone calls as not sure what would show up on the ID. The same thing had previously happened to me, I did not answer the call and it was the SubHub, but eventually got called back and was able to get the vaccine. As with any system there are bugs that have to be worked out and I think they are feverishly working on it. They are doing a great job. God Bless them all!.

  2. I started trying on Jan 18. I finally got text messages on Jan 27. I registered online on Jan 27. No phone call. This is crazy. What am I doing wrong.

    1. I registered on line very early a.m. on Feb.1. I received a return call approximately 10 hours later and I am scheduled for my first shot this afternoon and the 2nd shot in early March. Please note that my caller ID displayed an 800 telephone number. I was somewhat reluctant about answering because there are so many robo calls, but I took a chance and am so glad I did. The woman I spoke with couldn’t have been any nicer.

  3. My husband and I got phone call today. We are scheduled for tomorrow afternoon to get our first vaccine and they already scheduled us for our second one. Thank god!

    1. Husband and I got our first vaccine yesterday. The whole process took about 45 minutes but went very smoothly. Staff was very nice.

  4. Be aware that your return phone call from the hub will appears as “unknown” on your phone.
My phone has an option to block any call that appears as unknown and does not include a number. That option blocked three calls today which almost certainly were the hub trying to reach me.
I have now disabled that block from my phone but I missed my three calls due to the blocking.
The online registration is an improvement but ideally the hub’s response would also be online.
I do not sit at home all day awaiting phone calls. Next time I will use my cell number.

  5. Thank you, Lord for letting me finally get through! I was able to register on line. I hope i get a call back soon.

My husband and I are 65 plus with underlying health issues. It has been a nightmare for trying to get registered. The phone lines were busy, not taking calls at this time or phone lined crashed. I finally gave up after 3 hours of punching “redial”.
We have been on 3 pharmacy waiting list. No luck getting called in.
