BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO ALARM AT 1ST BAPTIST SCHOOL

  

Smoke from a burnt out light ballast was apparently the cause of smoke at the First Baptist Church School this morning (Thursday).  The Brenham Fire Department responded to an automatic alarm at 7:20 AM as smoke filled the hallways and stairwells of the school.  Firemen cut the power to the light ballast and used fans to clear the smoke from the building.  No one was injured in the alarm, and students arriving for the school day had to wait outside while the firemen cleared the building of smoke.
