BRENHAM TIRE AND AUTO UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP
Ownership of a long-standing automotive business in Brenham is changing hands.
Brenham Tire and Auto, located at 605 South Blue Bell Road, has been sold to Jody and Jed Jarvis, the owners of Jarvis Tire Pros in Bellville and Navasota. Brenham Tire and Auto has been in business for 40 years, and has been run by Shannon and Dodie Mehr for 28 years.
Shannon Mehr said there were a lot of reasons for this decision, but the timing was the deciding factor. He said he is grateful for all the years of support from the community.
Shannon said the Jarvis’ pledge to keep Brenham Tire and Auto’s employees made the decision to sell easier. He said he is very confident in the job the new owners will do.
Shannon and Dodie’s last day will be March 24th, but they will continue to operate Mr. Windshield, currently located in the same building as Brenham Tire and Auto.
Customers and friends are invited on March 15th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to enjoy hot dogs, say goodbye to Shannon and Dodie, and meet the new owners.
I’m sure going to miss them. All the employees have always been courteous. There wasn’t one time that they didn’t go out of their way to help me in the past years.
I’m happy for them that they took the opportunity to ease their load & wish them the best always! Looking forward to meeting the new owners. So glad that David & the rest of the crew will remain.

Great news for Washington County!! I’ve used Jarvis Tire in Bellville for over 2 years and have been more than satisfied. Great guys, fair prices and a willingness to help anyone. 2 young brothers trying their best to succeed! Please support them!!!
I agree with you. They are super good guys, and never a problem to go out of their way to help in anyway! I know our customers will miss us, but they will love dealing with the Jarvis brothers! Please give them a try!!
Sad to hear it, we’ve used them almost exclusively for tires and maintenance on our vehicles for probably all 28 years. They saved us LOTS of money over having things done at the dealership. One time a plastic / rubber “T” fell apart on my cooling system. They could not order the part, so they called Dodge, they did not have it. To get me back on the road, Shannon adapted some odd connectors and a galvanized metal plumbing “T”. It looks really strange, but that was 4 years ago and not a problem! Just an example of the good customer service they always gave. Thanks guys!
