NEW BEGINNINGS RAISES OVER $35,000 AT CELEBRATION OF LIFE BANQUET
Tens of thousands of dollars were raised at the New Beginnings Celebration of Life Banquet held Thursday at Deep in the Heart Farms.
Estimates from New Beginnings show the 13th annual banquet raised $35,530. Funds from the event are used to provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, educational parenting classes, abortion recovery support, pregnancy loss support and youth empowerment presentations for local women.
A total of 375 tickets were sold for this year’s event in order to stay in compliance with 75 percent of the venue’s 500-person capacity. Approximately 375 guests were in attendance.
This year’s banquet, with a theme of “Saving Lives Deep in the Heart of Texas,” included an update from the ministry, a catered dinner from Herbert Schovajsa, a silent auction, and video testimonies from clients of New Beginnings.
