PARIS, Texas — The Blinn College men’s basketball team came out on top of a triple-overtime thriller against Paris Junior College, 82-77, Wednesday night.

With the win, the Buccaneers improved their overall record to 8-4 and conference record to 6-4.
“I am so happy for our players, and they were so excited,” head coach Scott Schumacher said. “This is a big win on the road after a four-hour trip on the bus. Our guys kept hanging in there, we did a really good job, and luckily were able to come out on top.”
Davion Coleman led Blinn’s offense with 31 points, Bonke Maring followed with 16, and Judah Jordan scored eight in the win.
Paris jumped on the Buccaneers early and led 30-21 at the break, but Blinn rallied back in the second half to even the score 54-54 to send it into overtime. Both teams played evenly in the first overtime for the game to go into double overtime. Paris and Blinn continued to battle and ended the second overtime tied 73-73. The Buccaneers finally separated themselves by outscoring Paris 9-4 in triple overtime for the 82-77 win.
Next, the Buccaneers will return home to compete against Jacksonville College on Saturday, March 13, at 4 p.m. and Bossier Parish Community College on Sunday, March 14, at 4 p.m. in the Kruse Center.
