ADDITIONAL EMACIATED HORSES REMOVED FROM WASHINGTON CO. PROPERTY
Animal rescue workers have removed over a dozen additional emaciated horses from a property in Washington County.
After removing 17 horses from the property on Wednesday, investigators with the Houston SPCA took in another 14 horses on Thursday.
A total of 31 Paso Finos are being treated and rehabilitated at the Houston SPCA Equine and Farm Animal Rehabilitation Center.
Houston SPCA officials said they discovered multiple carcasses and scores of bones at the property on Wednesday. They said the owner’s family members reached out for assistance after reporting the animals were not being taken care of properly.
