BRENHAM POLICE ARREST MAN ON WEAPON CHARGE

A Williamson County man faces a number of charges after a weekend traffic stop in Brenham.
Local police report they observed a Dodge flatbed pickup blocking a lane of traffic in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea St., just before 2:00 a.m., Saturday.
An investigation revealed that the driver, 27-year-old Kyle Barnett of Florence was in possession of narcotics and had a weapon in plain view.
Barnett was charged with two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Carry of a Weapon and Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility.
