AFTERNOON ACCIDENT SHUTS DOWN BRENHAM INTERSECTION
One person was injured in a crash that shutdown a Brenham intersection for nearly an hour, Wednesday.
Just before 4:30, local authorities were called out to the intersection of US Highway 290 and FM 389.
At the scene, authorities found a vehicle in the center median with heavy damage to its front end.
The Brenham Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to remove the driver’s side door and extract the driver from the vehicle.
The Washington County EMS transported the driver, whose name has not been released, to the hospital.
The area of the accident was closed for over 45 minutes.
