32ND ANNUAL BURTON COTTON GIN FESTIVAL APRIL 17TH
A celebration of the oldest operating cotton gin in the United States is set for later this month in Burton.
The 32nd Annual Burton Cotton Gin Festival will feature a full day’s worth of family-friendly activities on Saturday, April 17th, beginning at 10 a.m. with the Main Street Parade and Children’s Bicycle Parade.
Following the parade, festivalgoers can enjoy dozens of food and craft booths, antique engine exhibits, farming and folk life demonstrations, an engine and tractor show, tours of the historic cotton gin and Wehring Shoe Shop, and the ever-entertaining bubblegum blowing, pie eating and cotton seed pulling contests. There will also be live music with Leather & Lace, Robert Zientek, and Sean Orr & Texas Gold.
