‘FORGED IN FIRE’ CONTESTANTS COMING TO BELLVILLE THIS WEEKEND
Some of the most talented blacksmiths and bladesmiths across the country will be in Bellville this weekend.
Competitors from the popular History Channel show “Forged in Fire” will be at Phenix Knives tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The admission-free event will allow guests to meet the contestants, see live demonstrations, get pictures and autographs, purchase original forged blades, and tour the blacksmith shop and the 1896 E.O. Finn building, known as the Carriage House.
Cowboy Szymanski, owner of Phenix Knives and a contestant in the first season of the show, says this is the biggest “Forged in Fire” gathering in Bellville yet.
As part of the event, Phenix Knives will donate a custom forged knife to the Bellville Engineering, Science and Technology Booster Club. Proceeds from a drawing for the knife will benefit the club’s summer science camp and scholarship fund.
