BRYAN WOMAN SENTENCED TO 75 YEARS IN DEATH OF HER DAUGHTER
A Brazos County jury has sentenced a Bryan woman to 75 years in prison in her three-year-old daughter’s death.
37-year-old Virginia Adams pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of Injury to a Child in the 2018 death of Rayven Shields. Adams will be eligible for parole in 30 years.
In the summer of 2018, investigators found the skeletal remains of the child in the backyard of her mother’s home in the Castle Heights neighborhood in Bryan.
Adams’ boyfriend, 52-year-old Patrick Wilson, Sr. was also charged in the case, but he died last April, before he could be tried.
