TWO SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT FOR FORGERY
Two people were sentenced this week after pleading guilty to forgery offenses in 21st Judicial District Court in Washington County.
38-year-old Joshua Lane Box of Hempstead was sentenced to four years’ probation for state-jail-felony forgery from July of 2019. Box was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, $650 in restitution, a $75 hot check fee, a $50 crime stoppers fee, perform 100 hours of community service, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, maintain no contact with the victim or co-defendant in this case, and stay away from K&M Grocery.
23-year-old Harold Dwight Hudson of Cypress was sentenced to 223 days in the Washington County Jail for Class A misdemeanor forgery from October of 2016. Hudson will also have to pay $210 in restitution, as well as a $75 hot check fee and a $50 warrant fee.
