DOWN RAILROAD ARMS CAUSED TRAFFIC BACKUP MONDAY

A train stopped just south of the Alamo and Main Street intersections causing the crossing arms to come down and blocking traffic for almost an hour Monday afternoon.  Brenham police with the help from two railroad employees, raised the crossing arms on Alamo Street and released the stalled traffic.  The train slowly moved away around 4:15 Monday afternoon.  There is no word on why the train stopped where it did.
