‘MONSTER PIANO CONCERT’ MOVED TO EXPO CENTER DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER FORECAST

The Brenham Area Music Teachers Association “Monster Piano Concert” has been moved from Firemen’s Park to the Pavillion at the Washington County Expo Center at 7:15. The change was made due to the forecast of severe weather.
A Texas Smoke Pit barbeque dinner will be served at the Expo Center Food Court from 5 to 7 p.m.
Regional students of all ages will perform a variety of song selections on multiple digital pianos in separate groups.
BAMTA Director Cheryl Amelang says the annual event is normally held at Blinn College, but due to COVID-19, organizers decided to make the concert an outdoor event.
Funds from ticket sales will be used to sponsor students for scholarships, support the organization’s national and state associations, and subsidize student and teacher registration fees for state convention performances and contests.
