COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS PURCHASE OF RIFLES

  

 

Washington County Commissioners will discuss the purchase of patrol rifles when they meet Tuesday morning.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9:00 at the County Courthouse.

On the agenda, the court will consider the approval of the Precinct One Constables office to purchase patrol rifles.

The rifles would be paid for with donations and money from the trade-in of older firearms.

Also on the agenda, the commissioners will discuss the approval to sell surplus county property through Gov-Deals, the country’s online auction service.

Also Tuesday, the commissioners will:

  • Hear a presentation by Prairie View Extension Agent Mary Sanders on consumer health programming.
  • And, consider the approval of a method for hiring a construction manager-at-risk for the rehabilitation and repairs of the Washington County Expo office building and event center.
