ZYTHOLOGICAL SOCIETY TO HOST INAUGURAL HOMEBREW COMPETITION SERIES
The Texas Chapter of the Zythological Society of North America has announced plans to host its first-ever homebrew competition series.
“Brews Over Texas” is set to launch over the next year, after being postponed from last year. Homebrewers are invited to take part in four competitions taking place into 2022, earning points based on their placing in each event. Points will be totaled from all four competitions at the 2022 Brenham Maifest, and a champion will be announced.
The series will begin on July 10th with the Brew S. Open at the Brazos Valley Brewing Company in Brenham.
The second event in the series, Boot Scootin’ Brews, will take place at the Austin County Fair in Bellville on October 9th.
The third event, Brewmite, will be held during the Battle of the Bartenders in Brenham on December 11th.
The series will conclude with Meister von Bier at the Brenham Maifest on May 7, 2022.
