CHILI WHEN IT’S CHILLY RAISES OVER $23,000

Organizers for the Waller County fundraiser, “Chili When it’s Chilly” say this year’s event was record-breaker.

Despite delaying the event, this year’s celebration raised over $23,000 which go towards helping veterans re-adjust to civilian life.

The fundraiser, held at Jellystone Park in Waller, annually benefits the Boot Campaign, assisting veterans who are battling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The Boot Campaign’s #LaceUpAMERICA initiative encourages support and solidarity for veterans and military families.

The annual event included: food and entertainment, with chili, ribs, jalapeño, steak, homebrew and camp slop contests, as well as auctions.
