‘LULU’ NAMED PET OF THE DAY

  

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named Lucinda, fondly known as “Lulu,” as its Pet of the Day.

This week, rather than one Pet of the Week, there will be five Pets of the Day.  This is because, according to Brenham Animal Services Manager Allison Harper, the shelter population has nearly doubled since a few weeks ago, causing the shelter to become fairly crowded.

Lulu is a female shepherd mix about 1-2 years old.  Lulu was brought in to the shelter by a resident who found her under her house.  Shelter staff say she is still shy with humans, but gets along well with dogs of all shapes and sizes.

Staff say Lulu prefers private spaces and has begun crate training.  They feel she would do well in a foster home with other dogs to increase her comfort level and help her learn how to handle a home environment.
