ONE OF 14 VICTIMS IN DOWNTOWN AUSTIN SHOOTING DIES

One of 14 victims in a mass shooting early Saturday morning in downtown Austin has died.

The Austin Police Department on Sunday confirmed the death of 25-year-old Douglas John Kantor, who was one of two people hospitalized with critical injuries in the shooting on East Sixth Street.

Police have taken one juvenile suspect into custody.  Another suspect is still at large.  No suspects have been identified to the public.

Interim Police Chief Joseph Chacon said the shooting looks to be the result of an argument between two groups of people, and that most of the victims were innocent bystanders.

Investigation is ongoing.
