MANUFACTURED HOME PARK SITE WORK LEADS JUNE BUILDING PERMITS

  

Civil site work for expansion of a manufactured home community led the month of June for building permits issued by the City of Brenham.

The city issued a $610,633 permit to Sandalwood Brenham Partners for the park, located at 2001 FM 389.  The work is contracted to Longhorn Builders out of Tomball.

Sandalwood is planning an extension of the existing home park on the northern portion of the property with around 30 new manufactured homes.

Another notable permit issued in June was to the Washington County Expo for $450,000, concerning storm damage repairs and interior remodeling of the Expo office annex and event center.  The work is being performed by Chappell Hill Construction.

A total of 26 permits were issued by the city in June for $2,785,756, roughly half of the $5,472,245 on 25 permits issued last June.

Seven new homes were permitted in June for $927,003.  So far this year, 90 new homes have been permitted for $13,788,674.

So far this year, the city has issued 202 permits worth $26,752,615.  Through this time last year, the city had issued 144 permits for $54,961,605.
