BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO REVIEW END-OF-YEAR TEST RESULTS

Members of the Burton School Board meet Monday, June 14th. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom, and was also open to in-person attendance.

A review of Burton ISD’s end-of-year testing scores leads the agenda for the Burton School Board Monday.

During the elementary and high school principals’ reports, trustees will hear STAAR scores and End of Course (EOC) results.

Also on Monday, the board will continue discussion on preliminary budget projections.  It will also consider a board policy update pertaining to purchasing and acquisition, facilities construction, compensation and benefits like leaves and absences.

Trustees will also:

  • Review a Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) investment policy, and consider renewing TASB’s worker’s compensation coverage.
  • Consider a testing coordinator stipend.
  • Consider delegating contractual authority to obligate the school district to the superintendent under Texas Education Code for the 2021-22 school year. This allows the school district to accept transfers and purchase attendance credits.

The board will meet Monday evening at 6 p.m. at the Burton ISD Administration Office.  The meeting will be open to in-person attendance, but the public can also call in to the meeting using the information below.

To call in to the meeting, dial 1-346-248-7799, and use meeting ID 816 0970 4400 and passcode 375136.
