INCOMING RETAIL INCUBATOR IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM SEEKING BUSINESSES

A business group that plans to open in downtown Brenham this fall is looking for businesses to participate in a retail incubator program.

The building at the corner of Main and North Park Streets will soon be home to three business operations owned by YellowTruck, LLC, including a retail incubator program.

YellowTruck LLC, owned by Tiffany McMordie-Morisak, is partnering with Brenham | Washington County Economic Development and Main Street Brenham to launch the YellowTruck Market program out of the old Bode and Tonn building at 101 East Main Street.

The incubator team is looking for businesses within a 60-mile radius of Brenham already selling their products online or through social media.  The program will assist participating businesses with training, cost-sharing, rent and promotion.

Selection criteria include products like men’s and children’s items; jewelry makers, bakers, merchandise designers, leather or wood crafters, or other emerging artisan/maker businesses; and minority-owned businesses.

Morisak said YellowTruck Market is a business dedicated to filling retail gaps in downtown Brenham and to products designed, crafted, built and made in this region of Texas.  She said she intends to use the space to “provide businesses and makers an opportunity to strengthen and grow.”

Applications to participate in the incubator program are available online at https://yellowtruckllc.com/marketapp.  Applications will be accepted through August 9th.
