COMMUNITY HOLDS DRIVE-BY PARADE TO WELCOME HOME INJURED BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE
Residents from around Brenham and Washington County came together on Sunday to welcome home a Brenham High School graduate who has been released from the hospital.

The community held a drive-by parade for Collin Smith, who is back home after spending several months recovering in the hospital following an accident in January. Smith, who graduated in May, was a member of the Brenham Anglers bass fishing team.
The parade began in the Brenham Junior High School parking lot, driving down Carlee Drive and Allyne Lane. Dozens of vehicles, including several Brenham police cruisers and a Brenham fire engine, all came to wish Smith well.
Family members of Smith say he is still healing and has recently begun physical therapy and speech therapy.
