Downtown Brenham took a step back into the ‘60s and ‘70s Saturday night with the beginning of this year’s “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” summer concert series.

The first of four concerts this summer featured The Fab 5, which took large crowds in downtown back to the days of The Beatles and other groups from the British Invasion.

The Stray Katz Car Club also had dozens of classic cars and hot rods for visitors to see during its popular cruise-in.

Saturday’s performance was sponsored by Tippit Dental Group, Dahmann and Associates representing Germania Insurance, Seidel Schroeder and Brenham National Bank.

Coming up this Saturday, The Rocket Brothers Band, an eight-piece variety band out of Austin playing hits from the ‘50s to today, will make its “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” debut.  That performance is sponsored by Briannas Fine Salad Dressing, Associated Credit Union of Texas, Ant Street Inn, and Legacy Concrete Works and Legacy Waste Services.
