BISD BOARD TO DISCUSS BUDGET & COVID 19 AT MONDAY MEETING
The Brenham School Board will talk budget when they meet, Monday afternoon.
The BISD Board of Trustees will hold a budget workshop and discussion over the proposed tax rates for the maintenance and operations and the interest and sinking fund for the coming year.
The board will also set the date and time for a public hearing on proposed budget and tax rate.
Also at Monday’s meeting, the board will hear a COVID-19 update.
School officials say the district currently has one lab-confirmed positive case in an individual in the 15-18 age range. In total, the district has reported 282 cases since last year.
The board is also expected to approve an agreement for the purchase of attendance credit and delegate contractual authority to the superintendent.
And approve the purchase of Imagine Learning Language and Literacy, Imagine Reading and Imagine Math.
The board meets Monday at noon at the Brenham ISD Administration Office, 711 E. Mansfield Street.
Start by discussing how unhappy all the teachers are. Why do you feel it’s necessary to move teachers and principals who don’t want to move? Why does Brenham pay teachers so much less than other districts? Why are so many good teachers leaving?
