The Bellville Junior High School’s Destination Imagination team, called F.B.I., placed first at the 2021 Destination Imagination Global Finals.  The team came in first in Improvisational Challenge “Case Closed” and in Fast Flex Challenge “Whodunit?”

Destination Imagination is an education program that teaches creative processes to students through several project-based challenges.

The team consisted of seven students who are now entering their freshman year of high school: Maddison Diezi, Quinn Huffman, Tylin Jackson, Jack Luedeker, Samantha Marik, Sydney Rush and Wesley Shackelford.  The team was led by manager Susan Marek.

Bellville’s team was one of 61 that competed in the virtual competition, including teams from around the nation and from countries like China, Mexico and Turkey.

Marek said while Bellville ISD has previously placed in the top 5 at the Global Finals, this is the first time the district has won a championship.
