CUB BAND TO MARCH THROUGH BRENHAM FRIDAY

The Brenham Cub Band will march across Brenham during its annual March-a-thon Friday morning.

The public is invited to come watch the band as it travels to several locations around the city, playing marching tunes to get ready for the new school year and marching season.

The march will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Brenham High School Band Hall, with a stop in the First Baptist Church parking lot before heading through downtown on the traditional parade route.

The band will then make its way to Bank of Brenham to perform a mini concert, followed by concerts at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Brenham ISD central office.

Band members will then play songs at Christ Lutheran Day School and the Margaret E. Blizzard Senior Activity Center.  The march will end between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. with another mini concert in the Blue Bell Creameries parking lot.

The March-a-thon also serves as a fundraiser for the band program.  To donate, contact Band Director Eric Rettig at erettig@brenhamk-12.net.
