CUBS; PANTHERS AREA TEAMS TO OPEN FOOTBALL SEASON

The Friday Night Lights will be ignited for the first time this fall, as High School Football kicks off all across the State of Texas.

The 2021 Brenham Cubs will kick start the season at Magnolia West at 7:00 p.m.

Cubs Head Coach Eliot Allen says the team is looking forward to tonight’s season opener…

Coach Allen says he wants to see good effort from his team from the start…

Allen says playing teams with the talent level of Magnolia West will make the Cubs better in the long run…

Kick off at Magnolia West is set for 7:00.  KWHI will broadcast the game beginning with the Pre-Game Show at 6:30 on AM 1280 KWHI, FM 101.7 and www.kwhi.com.

Meanwhile, the Burton Panthers will open the 2021 campaign at home, as they host Holland.

Coach Jason Hodde says he’s excited to kick off the 2021 season…

Kickoff at Panther Stadium is set for 7:30.

KWHI will kick off our Friday night programming with our Area High School Coaches shows beginning at 5:45 p.m.  The Football Scoreboard will follow the Cubs’ game, with scores from around the area and throughout the state.  The Football Roundup will air Saturday morning at 8:15, with a Cub coach in studio, as well as scores and reports from around the area.
