CALDWELL KOLACHE FESTIVAL SEPTEMBER 11
Downtown Caldwell is preparing for the return of one of Burleson County’s largest annual events.
The 36th Annual Kolache Festival will be held next weekend after no festival took place last year due to COVID-19. Thousands are expected to come to Caldwell to celebrate Czech culture with live music, shopping, and of course, kolaches.
Activities begin with a pre-festival dinner and dance on Friday, September 10th from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., sponsored by the Czech Heritage Museum. The event will include dinner provided by Slovacek’s Sausage and a dance with the Lost Cause Band.
The festival opens on Saturday, September 11th at 9 a.m. at the Polka Pavilion, making way for guests to shop at hundreds of vendors, see displays from the Creative Memories Quilt Guild, view classic cars and antique machinery, take part in the Kolache Krunch 5K and enjoy the kolache baking and eating contests.
There will also be music provided by the Czechaholics, the Moravians and the Dujka Brothers, in addition to a performance from the Beseda Dancers.
