FAIR PARADE MARKS THE OPENING OF THE 153rd WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIR
Dozens of entries made their way throughout downtown Brenham, Saturday, as the Fair Parade marked the start of the 153rd Washington County Fair.
The parade made its return to the fair lineup after taking a year off in 2020 due to COVID-19.
This year's parade saw firetrucks, emergency responders, floats, the queen candidates and numerous other entries make their way down the traditional downtown parade route.
The first judging results from the Fair are final:
In the Rabbit Judging, the Grand Champion was shown by Kaylen Kruse, a senior at Brenham High School. Kaylen is the daughter of Jim and Hailey Kruse and a member of the Salem 4H.
The Reserve Champion was shown by Emmy Boyd, a junior at Brenham High School. Emmy is the daughter of Kathryn Boyd and James Boyd and a member of the Prairie Hill 4H.
Activities continue throughout the week at the fairgrounds at the Washington County Expo.
KWHI and KTEX 106 will be broadcasting live throughout the fair.
