Saturday marked the conclusion of a month-long adoption campaign across the nation in partnership with NBC and Telemundo stations.
Animal Services Manager Allison Harper says the shelter was able to find many loving homes for pets.
Since there is a good number of animals still available for adoption, Harper says the shelter will continue adoption specials this weekend both on-site and at Washington-on-the-Brazos with “Bark in the Park.”
The shelter will be open on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. “Bark in the Park” will also take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and will feature vendors and demonstrations in addition to free adoptions.
All of the adoption center’s available pets can be seen online at www.petfinder.com.
