Faith Mission in Brenham helped give away thousands of meals and supplies to Louisiana residents in need this weekend.

Faith Mission joined NOLA Creations and celebrity chef Darrell Johnson to host relief events in Houma, Theriot and LaPlace, some of the areas hit the hardest by Hurricane Ida.

Over 5,000 hot meals were served over two days from NOLA Creations, while over 2,000 non-perishable meals were provided by the Salvation Army.  Faith Mission gave away bottled water, diapers and other non-perishable goods.
