LOCAL, AREA NATIONAL NIGHT OUT CELEBRATIONS TUESDAY

Local and area law enforcement officials are set to visit with the community in another installment of National Night Out tonight (Tuesday).

The annual effort to strengthen the relationship between neighbors and first responders will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m.  This year’s theme is “Party U.S.A.”, so participants are encouraged to wear red, white and blue.

Brenham Police Sergeant Steven Eilert says the police department is eager to get out and visit with the public.

Block parties will be held at locations across Brenham and Washington County, including gatherings at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center, Calvary Baptist Church and the Prairie Hill – Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department.

There will also be celebrations at the Beaver Creek Volunteer Fire Department near Snook, Millheim Hall in Sealy and in Giddings, Navasota and Somerville.  Carmine will host a celebration on Thursday.

KWHI and KTEX-106 will be out and about at area parties throughout the evening.  If you would like us to stop by, call our office at 979-836-3655.
