BURLESON CO. MAN SENTENCED TO 17 YEARS FOR INDECENCY WITH A CHILD

A Burleson County man has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of indecency with a child by contact.
30 year old Randel Lister was sentenced to 17 years in prison by a Burleson County Jury for sexual abuse of a relative. At the time of the incident, Lister was on probation in Brazos County for Aggravated Robbery and Burglary of a Habitation.
During the trial the child took the stand and gave details of the abuse she suffered. Assistant District Attorneys Kristin Burns and Victoria Fazzino, who prosecuted the case, said “This brave young girl faced her abuser while testifying about the sexual abuse he perpetrated against her. The result of this trial helped her regain some of what the defendant took from her, and ensures that no other children will suffer at this man’s hands.”
Lister will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
