NAVASOTA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT KILLED IN SHOOTING

  

A Navasota High School student is dead, the apparent victim of a shooting in Bedias Thursday night.

18-year-old Anthony Demilo Williams died at Madisonville St. Joseph's Emergency Room shortly after being transported there Thursday night.  Grimes County Sheriff's Deputies had been dispatched to investigate multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Leon and Sycamore Streets in Bedias.  Deputies found Williams unconscious and not breathing, and medical personnel began lifesaving efforts.  He was pronounced dead by the Madison County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 at the Madisonville St. Joseph's Emergency Room.

Members of the Grimes County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division, Grimes County District Attorney's Office, and Texas Rangers are working the case in an effort to identify the suspects in the shooting.  An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of Williams' death.
